When the FTC approached Facebook with issues on how they were handling (or mishandling) user data. They set out to create a tool to help regulate this data as well as report back to the FTC.
The main team I worked with was in charge of taking on this tool and redesigning it to bring it up to date and make it more user friendly. We were also constantly iterating to keep up with ever changing requirements.
